  • Prepare purple yam

    First, peel the purple yam and wash it clean. Then, cut the yam into several pieces and steam it until cooked.

    Next, put the yam in a bowl and use a fork to mash it until smooth.

    Tip: Mashing the yam while it is still hot will help it become smoother and easier to mash.

  • Prepare the purple yam filling

    Place a pan on the stove, add the mashed purple yam, 50g of sugar, 50ml of coconut milk, and 10ml of coconut oil.

  • Steam the taro

    Peel the taro, wash it clean, and cut it into round slices of moderate thickness. Then steam it for about 10 – 15 minutes.

    Once the taro is steamed, take it out and add 5 tablespoons of condensed milk, then use a spoon to mash the taro until it and the condensed milk are well combined without any lumps of taro.
