How to Choose Good Ingredients
How to choose delicious tofu
- For ready-fried tofu, you should choose soft pieces that are golden brown.
- It is best to buy ready-fried tofu from reputable food stores or supermarkets. When purchasing, carefully check if the packaging is intact and verify the expiration date.
- Quality tofu should have no odor, and the pieces should be packed in airtight bags or vacuum-sealed properly.
- Avoid buying hard pieces of tofu that smell sour or are past the expiration date.
- For safety, you should buy fresh tofu and fry it at home.
How to choose fresh and delicious quail eggs
- Try to shine a light through the egg; fresh and delicious quail eggs will have little space at the top, and the inside of the egg is transparent, allowing you to see the egg inside.
- New eggs have a slightly rough shell, and there is a white powder on the outside; they usually feel heavy in hand, while less tasty eggs feel light.
- Gently shake the egg; if you don’t hear any movement inside, it indicates that this is a new egg, and you should buy it.
- On the contrary, if you shake the egg and hear sloshing sounds, it means the egg is old, rotten, and you should not buy it.
How to choose fresh and delicious tomatoes
- Good tomatoes have a slightly light red color, the outer skin is firm and plump, and they feel soft when touched.
- You should choose tomatoes that still have the stem because they are freshly picked and still fresh.
- Do not choose tomatoes that are soft and mushy, bruised or have black spots on them.
- You should also not choose tomatoes if they have an unusually sour or rotten smell.

Cut tofu into square pieces. Wash and slice tomatoes thinly.
Wash lemongrass and cilantro, then chop the lemongrass finely.
Quick and Easy Way to Peel Quail Eggs- To make peeling the eggs simpler, when boiling the eggs, mix 1 spoon of salt and 2 spoons of vinegar into the water used for boiling the eggs.
- Vinegar helps prevent the eggs from cracking during boiling, while salt makes them easier to peel.
- Additionally, to avoid cracking, wait for the water to boil before adding the eggs and then reduce the heat.
- Avoid boiling at too high a temperature as it may cause the eggs to break.
