Ingredients for Black Wheat Smoothie Serves 2

Black wheat 71 gr Unsweetened milk 375 ml Peanut butter 2 tablespoons Brown sugar 2 teaspoons Cinnamon powder 1 teaspoon Roasted almonds/cashews a little (chopped)

What is black wheat? Where to buy it?

  • Black wheat (buckwheat) is a type of cereal crop closely related to barley and wheat. Besides the above name, it is also known as hắc mạch or tam giác mạch because its appearance has 3 edges like a triangle.
  • You can find black wheat at organic food stores, large agricultural markets, or buy it at supermarkets selling imported goods as well as on e-commerce websites. To choose good quality ingredients, you need to buy from reputable places with clear production origins!

How to Make Barley Smoothie

  • Soak Black Barley

    Place black barley in a bowl, rinse once with water, then discard the rinsing water.

    Next, add 125ml of unsweetened fresh milk to the bowl of black barley and let it soak for 3 hours to soften the barley.

  • Blend Barley Smoothie

    After 3 hours of soaking, the barley should be soft and has absorbed most of the milk. Add the soaked barley to the blender along with 125ml of unsweetened fresh milk.

    Turn on the blender at medium speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy, then add 2 tablespoons of peanut butter, 2 teaspoons of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder, and the remaining 125ml of unsweetened fresh milk to the blender.

    Continue blending until the mixture is well combined, then pour into a glass and sprinkle a little chopped almonds and roasted cashews on top to enjoy right away!
