Flambé banana – the name may sound quite strange in Vietnam, but it is a dessert that is very popular in Western countries. Each piece of fresh banana blends with sweet orange sauce, fragrant with a distinctive aroma from the alcohol, will definitely make you fall in love. Step 1 Cut the banana and squeeze the orange juice Flambé banana with orange liqueur

  • Make butter sauce

    Heat a pan on the stove, add 10g of unsalted butter and melt it over medium heat.

    Next, add 20ml of orange juice, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and the juice of 1/4 lemon. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.

  • Sear the banana and flambé

    Next, place the banana in the pan, cut side down first, and sear each side for 30 seconds until the bananas are slightly golden and evenly coated with the butter sauce.

    Then, turn off the heat, add 20ml of Brandy (or Cognac) to the pan, and turn the heat back on. Carefully tilt the pan to allow the flame to catch on the bottom.

    Finally, let the flame extinguish itself in the pan before turning off the heat.

    Note: Because the flames can be quite large, everyone should be careful!

    Serve the finished bananas in a bowl, add about 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream, and then sprinkle a little cinnamon powder on top to enjoy.
