- You can buy pre-ground pork at the market and then process it, but it will be difficult to check the quality of the meat. It’s best to buy whole cuts of pork and grind it yourself using a meat grinder to ensure safety and quality when using.
- Fresh pork will have high elasticity and firmness. You can press the meat with your hand to check; if the meat does not leave a dent and does not stick to your hand, then it is good meat. In contrast, spoiled pieces of meat will not return to their normal state when pressed.
- Good meat will have a bright red or dark red color, glossy, with a dry outer membrane.
- If you see the meat showing gray, brown, dark red, or pale green colors, or if it is slimy, absolutely do not buy it. This is a sign that the meat has spoiled.
- Additionally, pork raised with lean meat enhancers will have a dark color, with red spots on the skin and a fishy smell compared to clean pork.

How to make hot rice cake in the microwave

Mix the cake batter
Put 50g of rice flour and 50g of tapioca flour into a bowl and mix well.
Then, gradually add 400ml of water into the bowl, stirring continuously and let the batter rest for 30 minutes.

Prepare other ingredients
Soak the wood ear mushrooms and shiitake mushrooms in water for about 30 minutes. Next, use scissors to cut off the mushroom stems, wash them clean, and dice the mushrooms.
Peel the onion and dice it. Peel the garlic and finely chop it with chili. Wash the scallions and let them drain.
Peel the shallots, slice them thinly, coat them evenly with a layer of dry flour, and fry until golden and fragrant.

Stir-fry minced meat, wood ear mushrooms, and shiitake mushrooms
Place a pan on the stove with a little cooking oil; when the oil is hot, add the onion and sauté it over medium heat for 2 minutes.
Next, add the minced meat and continue to stir-fry until the meat is firm.
Once the meat is firm, reduce the heat, add the chopped mushrooms, and season to taste. Stir the mixture for another 2 minutes until cooked.
Finally, turn off the heat, add the chopped scallions, and mix well.

Cooking the cake in the microwave
Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the cake batter, mix well, then put it in the microwave to cook for 2 minutes at 800W. After 2 minutes, stir and mix the mixture until smooth.
