How to make Indian Roti – Chapati

  • Mix and knead the dough

    Add 272gr of flour, 2 tablespoons of cooking oil, 2 teaspoons of salt, and 177ml of water into a bowl.

    Then, mix well with your hands and knead for about 5 minutes until it forms a homogeneous, soft, and non-sticky dough.

    How to knead the dough:
    • You can knead the dough by hand using the Folding and Stretching technique.
    • First, fold the dough, then use the palm of your hand to press and stretch the dough away from you. Note to press and stretch the dough away, not down. Next, rotate the dough by 90 degrees and repeat the two steps above for 15 minutes.
