How to choose fresh and delicious onions

  • Choose bulbs with thin, shiny, evenly colored skin, and feel dry and firm when touched.
  • Observe the roots: An onion bulb with many long root strands indicates it is still fresh. In contrast, bulbs that have completely lost their roots should not be chosen as they are those that have been stored for a long time and will not be fresh and will spoil faster.
  • Avoid selecting bulbs that have sprouted, have soft and hard spots, and have uneven colors as these onions are not fresh and may be bitter.

    Wash the bell peppers, remove the seeds, and cut them into square pieces about the size of a finger joint.

    Peel the onion, wash it thoroughly, and cut it similarly to the bell peppers.

    Wash the green onions, and cut them into pieces about 1/2 a finger joint long.
