How to make Sesame Candy

Roast peanuts and sesame
Place a frying pan on the stove, add 200g of white sesame seeds and roast over medium heat for about 5 minutes until the sesame turns golden and fragrant, then pour it into a bowl.
Continue to add peanuts and roast over medium heat, the peanuts will turn golden and the skins will start to separate when they are done, then pour the peanuts onto a strainer or tray and remove the skins.

Cook the syrup
Place a frying pan on the stove, add 400g of white sugar and 1 cup of water (using a rice bowl) and cook over medium heat for about 10 – 15 minutes until the syrup thickens.

When the syrup thickens, use a spoon to scoop it up and see if it can form a thread, then squeeze the juice of 1 lemon and add it to the syrup in the pan, then stir well and cook for about 8 – 10 minutes on the stove before adding in the peeled peanuts and stirring evenly.

Prepare a rectangular mold and then evenly coat the inside of the mold with 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, sprinkle 1/2 of the roasted sesame seeds to cover the bottom of the mold.
