Fresh orange 1 fruit Orange syrup 20 ml White mint syrup 10 ml (or 3 – 4 crushed mint leaves to release essential oils) Sugar 10 gr (or 20ml sugar syrup) Lemon soda 330 ml (can be replaced with 7UP/mineral water with gas) Lemon juice 5 ml

  • Orange syrup with a natural orange scent is made from ingredients such as: sugar, water, orange juice, flavoring agents, colorants, …
  • Orange syrup is commonly used to mix into drinks like milk tea, fruit tea, fruit smoothies, or soda.
  • Currently, you can buy orange syrup on reputable e-commerce sites or directly at stores selling mixing ingredients, priced from 50,000 – 205,000 VND for 500ml depending on the brand (price updated 05/05/2021).
  • Additionally, when purchasing to avoid buying fake or low-quality products, you should pay attention to the cap, label, and body of the bottle. Do not buy syrup bottles with scratched caps or bodies, or where the expiration date is printed blurry or faded.

  • Squeeze the orange

    Fresh oranges bought should be washed clean and cut in half. Squeeze one half to get 50ml of orange juice. The other half should be sliced thinly for decoration.

  • Mix the syrup

    Put the freshly squeezed orange juice and 10g of sugar into a shaker. Use a spoon to stir until the sugar dissolves.

    Squeeze 5ml of lemon juice (if using lemon soda, then 5ml is needed; if using carbonated mineral water, then 10ml is needed) and add it to the shaker.

    Continue to add 10ml of white mint syrup and stir well.

  • Shake the mixture

    Add 5 – 7 ice cubes, cover the shaker, and shake to mix the ingredients evenly.

    Pour the mixture into a glass, then add a few thin slices of orange, and finally pour lemon soda on top to finish.
