How to Select Fresh Ingredients

How to choose fresh saba fish

  • You should choose fresh saba fish that are medium-sized, with clear eyes, and shiny scales and skin.
  • Prioritize selecting fish with pink-red gills, firm flesh, and good elasticity.
  • Avoid choosing saba fish that are pale in color, have swollen bellies, soft flesh, or even a bad fishy smell, as mushy fish is less sweet and harmful to health.

How to choose fresh and delicious tomatoes

  • To choose fresh and delicious tomatoes, you should select those with bright red skin, firm and plump, and no blemishes on the surface.
  • Look for tomatoes with green stems that are firmly attached to the fruit. Gently press the fruit with your hand; it should feel slightly firm rather than soft and mushy.
  • Avoid choosing tomatoes with wrinkled skin, those that are soft and mushy, or have scratches and bruises. These are tomatoes that have been harvested for a long time and are no longer fresh.
