Marinate the fish
Marinate 2 fish with 2 tablespoons of minced garlic, 2 teaspoons of chili salt, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of MSG. Mix well and let sit for about 15 minutes for the spices to absorb evenly.
-
Steaming Fish
After 15 minutes, place the fish in a large bowl or plate for steaming. After placing the fish in the steamer, remember to evenly spread the marinade sauce over the fish so that it absorbs the seasoning well after steaming.
Ignite the heat, cover with a lid, and steam the fish for about 20 minutes. At this point, the fish is just cooked through, and you can add chopped green onions and Vietnamese coriander on top of the fish.
Cover the lid again and steam for another 5 minutes to ensure the fish is evenly cooked.
