Dumplings are a familiar dish from China and have long been popular in Vietnam with many variations. The soft dumplings filled with shrimp meat, along with the broth, create an incredibly delicious dish. Let’s go to the kitchen with TasteVN to make this dish.
Ingredients for making dumplings Serves 4 people
Ground pork 300 gr Fresh shrimp 200 gr Wheat flour 250 gr Corn starch 50 gr Napa cabbage 20 gr Carrot 20 gr Shallots 3 bulbs Green onions 30 gr Chicken egg 1 piece
Spices: Salt, sugar, seasoning powder, sesame oil
How to make dumplings

Prepare the ingredients
Fresh shrimp should be cleaned, peeled, and deveined.
Napa cabbage should be washed, drained, and diced.
Shallots should be peeled and minced.
Carrots should be peeled and diced.
Green onions should be washed and chopped.

Make dumpling filling
Add ground pork to a bowl, then add napa cabbage, shallots, carrots, and green onions.
Season with: 1 tablespoon of seasoning, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of pepper, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil.
Mix all ingredients well.

Make dumpling wrappers
Crack the eggs into a bowl, discard the shells, add 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 90 ml of water, then stir well.
Place cornstarch and flour in a large bowl, add the egg mixture and knead well, then let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
After the resting time, roll out the dough, then cut it into square pieces about 10 cm.

Shape the dumplings
Take a spoonful of filling, add 1 shrimp to the dumpling wrapper, then fold the wrapper into a triangle shape, and use your hands to pinch and seal the dumpling. Repeat until all ingredients are used up.

Cooking the dumplings
You put a pot of water on the stove, add 400 ml of water and wait for it to boil, then drop the dumplings in to cook for about 10 minutes.

Final product
You season the broth to taste, and can serve with mustard greens, green onions, scoop it into a bowl, and invite your family to enjoy!
Note:
- If you like, you can simmer bones for broth, it will be tastier!
- If you do not like to boil dumplings, you can fry or steam them and serve with soy sauce or chili sauce, which is also very delicious.
