How to choose fresh and delicious strawberries
- To choose sweet and fresh strawberries, first, you should observe the color of the strawberry. Strawberries should be bright red, plump, and evenly colored.
- Next, you should choose strawberries that are of moderate size, with bright green stems that are firmly attached to the fruit, and have a distinct mild aroma.
- Avoid choosing those with uneven colors, those that have green spots or are small, as these strawberries are not ripe yet and will be sour. Additionally, if the strawberries are too soft or mushy, they should also be avoided!
Tools Needed
How to Make Concentrated Strawberry Juice
-
Prepare the Strawberries
Soak the strawberries in diluted salt water for about 5 – 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly and drain in a colander.
Next, use a knife to cut off all the stems and any damaged or spoiled parts of the strawberries.
-
Blend the Strawberries
Place the prepared ingredients into the blender, including: the prepared strawberries, 10g of red dragon fruit, and 100ml of water.
Turn on the machine and blend the mixture for 5 – 7 minutes until it becomes smooth.
-
Cook the strawberry juice
Put the blended strawberry mixture into a pot and add 400ml of boiling water, 250g of sugar, and the juice of 1/2 lemon. Depending on your taste, you can adjust the amount of sugar accordingly!
Place the pot on the stove and cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Stir well while cooking to dissolve the sugar completely. After 10 minutes, if the mixture has started to boil, turn off the heat.
-
Strain the strawberry juice
Slowly pour the cooked strawberry mixture through a sieve to filter out any remaining solids, obtaining the strawberry juice, and let it cool for about 30 – 45 minutes.
-
Final Product
After the concentrated strawberry juice has cooled, pour it into glass jars or bottles, seal tightly, and store it in the refrigerator to use gradually within 10 – 12 days.
The concentrated strawberry juice is thick and has an incredibly sweet and fragrant flavor. You can use it to make strawberry tea or enjoy it with desserts like yogurt, which is also a great match!
