How to make Poached Egg Udon

  • Prepare the ingredients

    You can buy udon noodles in packs at supermarkets or convenience stores. After purchasing, you should boil them again to ensure they are cooked to a soft and chewy texture.

    Poached eggs can be considered the key ingredient of this dish, so cooking them to the right level of doneness is very important. To help you achieve a perfect poached egg, you need to follow these steps.

    First, use a pot to boil 1 liter of water, then turn off the heat and add 200ml of cold water to the pot, then place the 2 prepared eggs into the pot, cover it, and let the eggs sit for 15 – 20 minutes.

  • Make the sauce

    To make the noodle sauce, prepare a bowl for the seasonings such as 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of chili sauce, 1/2 tablespoon of soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon of chili powder. Add 2 tablespoons of water to dilute the mixture and mix well so that the seasonings combine evenly.

    Then, place a pan on the stove over low heat, add cooking oil and minced garlic and onion to sauté until fragrant. Next, add the prepared mixture and stir until the sauce thickens.
