How to choose fresh aloe vera
- Fresh aloe vera has branches with dark green skin, bright white roots, and may have tiny white spots on the surface.
- Usually, aloe vera with more flesh will be larger, conversely, if it is too small, there will be little flesh when processed.
- Avoid buying aloe vera that is bruised, wilted, especially if it is leaking juice, as this indicates it is spoiled.

How to make Aloe Vera Yogurt using a rice cooker

Prepare the aloe vera
First, with 1.5kg of aloe vera you purchased, use a knife to peel the skin, then cut the aloe vera into small cubes.
At the same time, soak the aloe vera in a basin of water with 1 teaspoon of salt for about 3 minutes, then rinse several times with water until the slime is gone, and drain.

Cooking Aloe Vera
You place a pot on the stove with 1 liter of water and 120g of rock sugar, then cook over medium heat for about 7 – 10 minutes.
When the water boils and the sugar has dissolved, add all the prepared aloe vera, cooking for another 5 – 7 minutes. When the water boils again, turn off the heat.

Mixing the milk mixture
You take the rice cooker and add 2 jars of low-sugar yogurt and 2 cans of condensed milk, then gently stir with a ladle in one direction.
Once the mixture is well combined, add 1 liter of unsweetened fresh milk, and continue to stir for about 1 minute.

Mix the yogurt and aloe vera mixture
When the milk mixture has been blended together, gradually add the cooked aloe vera, while continuously stirring.
Tip: Depending on your preference, you can pour the mixed yogurt into jars and proceed to incubate it using a rice cooker! -
Yogurt fermentation
After that, you place the pot of aloe vera yogurt mixture into the rice cooker, cover it, and tightly wrap it with a blanket, allowing it to ferment for about 12 – 24 hours.
Once the yogurt has thickened smoothly, take it out and place it in the refrigerator for about 1 – 2 hours before enjoying.
