Note:- When heating the milk, you should stir continuously to prevent the milk from burning at the bottom of the pot.
- Do not let the milk boil to avoid losing its nutrients!
-
Mixing the yogurt starter
After warming the milk, add 1 teaspoon of unsweetened yogurt and stir well. Next, place the yogurt into a glass jar to begin the fermentation process.
-
Fermenting the yogurt
Prepare a pot with a lid and fill it with warm water (about 70 degrees Celsius) to about one-third of the pot.
Next, place the jar of yogurt from step 2 inside, cover it, and wrap the pot with a blanket or thick towel. Let the yogurt ferment for about 8 hours in a warm place to complete the process.

Final Product
Yogurt made from breast milk will be thinner, and it cannot be as thick as yogurt made from regular cow’s milk. However, the yogurt still has a delicious creamy flavor, is very smooth, and is easy for babies to eat and digest!

- Yogurt is very good for children from 6 months old because it quickly provides many beneficial proteins for health. Additionally, yogurt contains many probiotics that are beneficial for the baby’s digestive system.
- Although Greek yogurt is known as a healthy ingredient, this type of yogurt is not recommended for children under 1 year old.
Tips for successfully making and storing yogurt
- Yogurt used as a starter culture should be brought to room temperature so that the cultures work best. Therefore, if taking yogurt out of the fridge, it should be allowed to cool to room temperature before use.
