  • The green plum has many different names depending on the region such as: thanh quả, gián quả, cà na,… There are two main types: white plum and black plum. The plum is oval-shaped, about 3 cm long.
  • You should choose black plums that are uniform in size, tapered at both ends, and when you gently squeeze them, they should feel firm and have a natural white powdery coating on the outside, which indicates they will be tastier and more nutritious when processed.
  • Avoid choosing plums that show signs of scratches, have wrinkled skins, and are no longer shiny and smooth, as these may be old and not fresh.

  • Prepare the starfruit

    Wash the starfruit you bought with diluted salt water and soak it for about 15 minutes to clean all the dirt on the outside. Then, take the starfruit out and place it on a basket (or basket) and let it drain.

  • Salt the starfruit

    Put the starfruit in a plastic jar, add 1 tablespoon of sugar, 2 teaspoons of salt, and add 300ml of filtered water to cover the starfruit by about 2cm. Then, compress it tightly and let it soak from the evening until noon the next day before it can be eaten.
