How to make Vanilla Waffles

  • Mixing the batter

    Put all-purpose flour into a bowl, add almond flour, powdered sugar, and use a whisk or spoon to mix well.

    Then, add melted unsalted butter and 2 egg whites, mix until the batter is no longer lumpy, then add vanilla extract and use a whisk to mix until the mixture is combined.

  • Shaping the waffles

    Put the batter mixture into a piping bag and pipe the mixture onto a baking tray, using a spoon to spread the batter evenly.

    Tip: You don’t need to smooth the surface of the batter too much, as it will flatten itself while baking, so just do it relatively.

    You preheat the oven for 10 minutes at a temperature of 160 degrees Celsius.

    Place the cake in the oven, bake at a temperature of 180 degrees Celsius for 5 – 6 minutes.

    After baking, you take the baking tray out; at this time, the cake is hot and still soft. You use chopsticks to roll it up, remembering to be careful not to get burned.

    Tip:

    • If you do not have an oven, you can heat a non-stick pan and bake it in the pan as well.
    • Only remove the chopsticks when the cake has cooled down a bit and has hardened, and when rolling, remember to press down a little so that the layers of the cake stick together.

  • Each type of oven has different baking temperature variations. You can improve the quality of your baked goods by using an oven thermometer or by regularly checking the cake to adjust the temperature, baking time, and suitable baking rack.
  • Cakes stored in a bag or airtight container, with a moisture-absorbing packet, can last for 1 – 2 weeks.
  • You should make the cake according to the exact proportions in the instructions for the best flavor.
  • Similarly, if you replace 5 grams of all-purpose flour with 5 grams of cocoa powder or green tea powder, the result will be delicious cocoa waffles or green tea waffles.
