How to make Pork Knuckle and Lotus Seed Porridge

  • Prepare the ingredients

    With 500g of pork knuckle after purchasing, use a knife to scrape off the hair, then rub the pork knuckle with salt to remove the fishy smell and rinse it with water. Finally, chop the pork knuckle into bite-sized pieces.

    Next, rinse 200g of regular rice and 80g of sticky rice with water; for the sticky rice, soak it for 7 hours or overnight.

    For the remaining 250g of fresh lotus seeds, wash them well, then split them in half to remove the lotus seed heart (germ), using only the flesh of the lotus seeds for cooking. Additionally, the lotus seed heart can be used to brew tea, which has a calming effect and improves sleep quality.

    You take the pork leg out, cut off the skin and meat, remove the bones, and then chop it finely.
