  • Fresh meat has a dry film, bright red color, slightly firm surface, is firm, and has a characteristic aroma.
  • Choose meat that has a characteristic aroma, with a pink and tender piece.
  • You should not choose pork that is mushy, leaking fluid, slimy, has an unpleasant and fishy smell.

How to make Stir-fried Carrots with Meat

  • Prepare and Marinate the Meat

    Pork should be rubbed with 1 teaspoon of salt, then rinsed with water, sliced thinly for eating, and placed into a bowl.

    Marinate the meat with half of the minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of monosodium glutamate, 1 teaspoon of seasoning powder, 1 teaspoon of oyster sauce, 1/2 tablespoon of cooking oil, mix well and marinate for 10 minutes.

    • Method 1: To eliminate the smell of pork, rub it with 1-2 teaspoons of salt, then rinse the meat with cold water 1-2 times before cooking.

    Place a pan on the stove over medium heat, add 1/2 tablespoon of cooking oil, and wait for the oil to heat up before sautéing the remaining minced garlic until fragrant.

    Once the garlic is fragrant, add the carrots and stir-fry for about 2 minutes, then add the pork and stir-fry for another 2 minutes until it firms up. Season with 1 teaspoon of monosodium glutamate, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of pepper, and 1 teaspoon of fish sauce.

    Stir well, add the onions and stir for another 2 – 3 minutes, then adjust the seasoning to taste, add green onions and celery, and turn off the heat.

  • You can use your hands to feel the surface of the eggshell; if the surface is rough and slightly coarse, it is fresh eggs, while a smooth surface indicates the eggs have been stored for a while.
