How to make Sweet and Sour Satay Chicken Feet

  • Prepare the chicken feet

    Wash the chicken feet thoroughly with diluted salt water, then rinse with clean water 3 – 4 times and let them drain. If the chicken feet still have nails, remember to cut off all the nails cleanly before washing them!

    Place a pot on the stove, turn the heat to high, add about 500ml of filtered water, chopped lemongrass, sliced ginger, and 500g of chicken feet, then boil for 10 minutes.

    After that, take them out and put everything into a prepared bowl of ice water.

    Place a pan on the stove, add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil. Wait for the oil to heat up, then add 20g minced shallots and 20g minced lemongrass to sauté until fragrant.

  • Prepare chicken feet

    When you buy chicken feet, if they still have nails, cut them off clean and then wash them thoroughly with diluted salt water. Next, rinse with water 2 – 3 more times and let them drain.

    Put the chicken feet into a bowl, squeeze lime juice in, and mix well with your hands for about 3 – 4 minutes. Then, wash them thoroughly with water and let them drain.

    Peel the shallots, crush them, and cut them in half. Peel the ginger and slice it thinly.
