How to prepare Fried egg cake with cheese and green onion rolls

  • Mix the batter

    Add 125g of all-purpose flour, 100ml of water, 10ml of cooking oil, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of pepper, and 40g of chopped green onions into a bowl, then mix well to combine the ingredients.

  • Fried scallion pancake

    Add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil (about 10ml of oil) to the pan and spread it evenly across the surface. When the oil is hot, add 2 ladles of the batter and fry over medium heat for about 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, when the pancake is golden and crispy, flip it over and fry the other side until golden, then transfer to a plate.

    Continue to add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil to the pan and fry similarly until all the batter is used up.

    Once the pancake is evenly golden on both sides, transfer it to a plate, then crack 1 egg (whisked yolk and white) into the pan and fry for 2 minutes.

  • You should also avoid buying flat or oval-shaped cabbage, as these are usually not dense and will often be hollow inside, lacking natural sweetness.

  • Prepare the ingredients

    For the cabbage, remove any damaged or bad leaves, cut off the tough stem, then rinse with diluted salt water, wash again with clean water, and let drain. Use a knife to slice the cabbage into thin shreds.

    For the carrot, cut off the ends, peel the skin, then wash it clean and let it drain. Cut the carrot into 3 pieces and then shred it into bite-sized pieces.

    For the green onion, cut off the roots and remove any yellow or damaged leaves, wash it clean with water, let it drain, and then chop it finely.
