How to Choose Good Honey

  • You should choose pure honey, which is yellow or bright orange in color.
  • Do not buy honey that has turned black, has bubbles on the surface, has a strong spicy smell, and tastes sour and bitter, as this honey has fermented and is no longer good for health.
  • You can test the quality of honey by dropping a few drops into a glass of water; if the honey sinks to the bottom of the glass, it is quality honey.
  • You can also check using another method by inserting green onions into the honey; if the onion leaves gradually become soft and wilted, it is real honey, and you should buy it.
  • Alternatively, drop honey on oil-absorbing paper; if the honey dissolves slowly and absorbs little oil, it is pure honey.
