  • Making strawberry tapioca pearls

Boil 300gr of white tapioca pearls in water over medium heat until they become translucent, and the tapioca pearls float to the surface, then remove them.

Tip: You can make white tapioca pearls yourself or buy pre-made white tapioca pearls to boil until cooked.

After that, you soak 300g of tapioca pearls with 80ml of sugar water mixed with 50ml of strawberry syrup for about 20 – 30 minutes so that the pearls absorb the sweetness and turn light pink.

Step 1 Make strawberry tapioca for strawberry taro milk tea
  • Steep oolong tea

You put 50g of oolong tea in a tea bag, tie it tightly and put it in a thermos.

Pour about 3.8 liters of boiling water into the thermos, cover it and steep for about 20 – 25 minutes for the tea to extract its essence.

After the tea has steeped, you take out the tea bag and squeeze it dry to extract the remaining tea concentrate in the bag, filtering out the tea leaves.

Finally, add about 100g of taro powder, wait for it to dissolve completely, then add 450ml of heavy cream and stir again to finish.

You can add some ice cubes to cool the milk tea faster or let the milk tea cool naturally if you prefer.

  • Choose large, bright red strawberries that are juicy and still have intact stems, fresh green leaves, and a faint characteristic aroma.
  • Do not choose overripe strawberries with dry, wilted stems and dark brown color, as the inside may be dry and hollow.
  • Avoid choosing strawberries that are dull in color, misshapen, or spoiled. Additionally, strawberries with greenish skin and many spots should not be purchased, as they will not ripen after being picked.
