How to prepare Vegetarian Chicken Thigh

Prepare the ingredients

The tofu sheet should have the edges cut off with scissors, as this part is usually very tough. Continue to cut the tofu sheet into squares the size of your hand, and the length should match the length of the lemongrass that was cut earlier.

Shape the Chicken Drumstick
Use a wet cotton towel to evenly wipe both sides of the tofu leaf to help you shape the chicken drumstick more easily.

Note:
- You should only use a wet towel to wipe both sides of the tofu leaf, do not dip it directly into water, as this will make the tofu leaf soft and unappetizing.
- You should not add too much tofu; just take a sufficient amount and spread a thin layer on the tofu leaf.
- The order of rolling the chicken drumstick should be from the ribs to the white tofu so that it resembles a real chicken drumstick even more after steaming.
- Banana leaves should be dried in the sun to make them flexible and easier to wrap.
- The tip of the chicken drumstick should be wrapped tightly with banana leaves when steaming to prevent water from flowing back inside, making the dish chewier.
