  • You should buy lotus seeds right after they are harvested, to ensure that the seeds retain their freshness, you should choose those that are still in their shells.
  • In particular, mature lotus seeds that are white or dark yellow are very delicious when eaten and do not have a chalky texture. When cooked, they also emit a distinctive aroma.

How to choose good coconuts for cooking dessert

  • You should choose young coconuts that are medium ripe, which are neither too mature nor too young, with sweet water and moderately thick coconut meat, having a fragrant and rich taste when eaten.
  • The medium ripe coconut meat is slightly soft, with a beautiful pearly white color, not as translucent as young coconuts and not too opaque white.
  • Medium ripe coconuts have a soft fiber layer, light brown instead of dark brown like mature coconuts. These coconuts also have a thin, crispy shell that is easier to cut open.
