How to choose good taro that is not fibrous
- Good taro will be round and shaped like a chicken egg. The outer skin is rough, has many roots, and especially still has dirt sticking to the skin.
- When picked up, non-fibrous taro will feel light. Light taro means it has less water and a high starch content.
- You should choose tubers with many depressions, as the more depressions there are, the more fragrant and tasty the taro will be.
How to choose delicious sweet potatoes that are not fibrous
- You should choose tubers that are not cracked or chipped on the outside.
- Delicious sweet potatoes have a round or elongated shape, without any waist, dent, and feel firm but not too hard when squeezed lightly.
- When buying, you can pick them up to check. Only buy tubers that feel heavy, firm, and not bruised.
- Especially, absolutely do not buy tubers that are too small, long, have a waist or dent because they will have a lot of fibers.
