How to choose fresh and delicious ingredients
How to choose good quality quail eggs
- Choose quail eggs with a sturdy shell, slightly rough, and with a white powdery layer on the outside. In contrast, eggs that have been stored for a long time will have smooth shells and may have black spots or mold due to moisture.
- When using a flashlight or in sunlight, hold the egg in your hand, exposing only the two ends, and look at the egg from one side while shining a light on the other. If it is a fresh egg, it will have a translucent pink color with a pink spot in the middle.
How to choose fresh and delicious beetroot
- Choose firm beetroot, not soft, with smooth skin and still has leaves.
- Additionally, prioritize selecting beetroot with a round bottom as these tend to be sweeter, while those with a flat bottom are usually less sweet.
- Do not buy beetroot that shows signs of wilting, has water leaks, and does not have an intact skin layer, as these are often spoiled and not good for health.
Where to buy star anise?
You can find star anise at dry goods stalls in markets or at pharmacies, e-commerce sites,…

Stir the mixture until the sugar dissolves, bring to a boil, then turn off the heat and let it cool.
-
Soak the eggs and decorate the bunch of grapes
Put the prepared ginger, chili, and garlic along with the cooled beetroot juice into the egg box, then soak for 6 – 8 hours.
After soaking the eggs, place the pumpkin leaves on a plate to create the leaves of the bunch of grapes, then to shape the bunch of grapes, arrange the quail eggs in a triangular shape with many layers spread out to complete.
