First, soak the vermicelli in cold water for 5 – 10 minutes. When it becomes soft, take it out and let it drain.
Next, you can cut the vermicelli in half for easier eating or leave it long depending on your preference. Before the vermicelli is completely dry, add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil to prevent it from sticking when mixed.
For the cabbage, cut off the stem and wash it thoroughly. You should carefully wash the inside of each cabbage leaf to remove any dirt. Peel the carrot. Then, cut the carrot and cabbage into thin strips.
Next, soak the dried mushrooms in cold water for 20 minutes or in hot water for 10 minutes. Then cut them into thin strips.
Wash the scallions and cilantro, then cut them into short lengths according to your family’s preference.
