- To choose good beef, you should observe the color of the meat. Fresh meat usually has a bright red color and the fat is light yellow.
- You should choose small, tender pieces of meat with fine fibers, and when you press it, it should have good elasticity.
- You should not buy beef when you see small white cysts on the meat, as it could be a sign of worms. Also, avoid buying small pre-cut pieces of meat, as it is very difficult to assess the quality.
How to choose good and safe bell peppers
- You should choose bell peppers that have smooth, shiny skin and are still attached to their stems.
- Good bell peppers will have bright colors and feel heavy in your hand.
- Do not buy bell peppers that have wrinkled skin, feel light when held, and have a soft texture because they are wilted or spoiled bell peppers.
How to choose potatoes that are free from toxins
- You should choose potatoes that have smooth skin; these will taste sweet and be rich in nutrients.
- Fresh and good potatoes will feel firm in your hand, the tuber should be hard, not soft due to wilting or being stored for too long.
- Do not buy sprouted potatoes or those with green skin as these may contain toxins that are harmful to health.

Prepare the Beef
Wash the beef with diluted salt water and then drain.
Cut the beef into bite-sized cubes about the size of a finger, then marinate with 1 teaspoon of seasoning, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and 2 teaspoons of soy sauce.
Mix well and let the beef marinate for 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Effective Ways to Remove the Smell of Beef
- Method 1: Soak the beef in white wine for 15 minutes and then rinse with clean water.
- Method 2: Place the beef in a pot of water and heat for about 3 – 5 minutes, then take it out and rinse the beef to reduce the smell. Note that you should only heat it to about 50 degrees Celsius, not boil it.
- Method 3: Use lemon or vinegar to rub on the beef for 5 – 7 minutes, then rinse with clean water.

Preparation of vegetables
Peel the garlic and chop it finely. Clean the green onions, and cut them into pieces about 2 finger lengths.
Wash the onion and bell pepper, then cut them into bite-sized squares about 1 finger length.
Peel the potatoes, wash them and cut them into long strips about 3 finger lengths, then soak them in diluted salt water for about 15 minutes.
Heat a pan on the stove and add 100ml of oil, when the oil is hot, add the potatoes and fry for about 10 minutes until crispy, stirring occasionally for even browning, then remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
Tip:- If you want the fries to be crispier, you can briefly boil them in hot water, then soak them in ice water before draining.
- To make the bell pepper and onion crisper when cooking, after cutting, they should also be soaked in ice water for 5 – 10 minutes.

Making stir-fried beef
Place a pan on the stove over high heat, add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil that was just used to fry potatoes into the pan, wait for the oil to heat up and then sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
