How to Choose Fresh and Delicious Squid

- It is advisable to choose squid that feels firm and elastic when pressed with your hand, and the tentacles and antennae are still sticking together.
- You should avoid buying squid that has a soft and mushy upper body, cloudy eyes, and leaking fluid, with tentacles that are mushy and nearly detached from the body. These squid are already spoiled, and cooking them will not be tasty and may be harmful to health.
How to Prepare Steamed Squid with Coconut Water

Prepare the squid
Fresh squid when bought should be rinsed with clean water and then allowed to drain. After that, you use a knife to cut off the eyes and remove the backbone of the squid, then rinse it again with clean water.
Next, use a knife to separate the head from the body of the squid. For the body, cut it in half and use the knife to score it in a diamond shape so that it absorbs the seasoning better when marinated.

Marinate the squid
