How to choose fresh ingredients
How to choose fresh belly pork
- Fresh belly pork will have lean meat that is bright red or pink, with creamy white fat that is clear, fresh, and shiny, and the meat should have a balanced ratio of lean to fat.
- It is advisable to choose pieces of meat where the lean meat, skin, and fat are firmly attached. The meat should be firm and have good elasticity.
- Avoid choosing belly pork that is slimy, has soft and mushy fibers, dull color, and has an unusual odor as this indicates low-quality belly pork.
How to choose delicious sweet ribs
- You should choose young pork ribs to cook the red noodle dish, as they are the best, with a piece of meat that has both lean and fatty parts, and a dry surface.
- When selecting ribs, choose those with a pink-red color; when you press the meat, it should feel firm and have good elasticity.
- Avoid choosing ribs that are pale in color, have bruises or slimy meat, or emit strange odors, as these are spoiled ribs that can negatively affect your health when consumed.
How to choose fragrant fatty pork skin
- Fresh and delicious pork skin should be thick, large, and have a smooth, flat surface, without unusual bruises or tiny black spots.
- Choose pork skin that has a rosy color; when pressed, it should have good elasticity and not emit an unpleasant fishy smell.
- Avoid selecting pork skin that is overly white, as it may have been soaked in chemicals, affecting the flavor of the dish and the health of the eater.
How to choose good noodle strands
- You should buy noodles in the morning because these are freshly made and retain their freshness. When purchasing, observe the color of the noodle strands; if they are slightly opaque and off-white, then they are of good quality.
- Choose noodle strands that have a natural sour smell from soaked rice flour and are soft and easily breakable.
- Avoid purchasing transparent, shiny noodles that look appealing and chewy, as these may have been soaked in chemicals, which is not good for consumption.
- Additionally, to ensure safety, you can make fresh noodles at home following the detailed instructions from TasteVN.
How to choose good tofu
- You should choose tofu that is off-white in color, avoiding pieces that are too yellow as they may contain gypsum.
- Good tofu feels light in hand, is elastic, not dry or crumbling, and has a fragrant smell of pure soybeans.
- Avoid buying tofu that looks old, too crumbly, or too mushy as this tofu is no longer fresh, affecting the taste of the dish.
How to choose quality pork sausage
- You should choose pork sausage that is slightly pinkish-white in color, with many holes on the cut surface and a light fragrant smell.
- You should buy pork sausage at reputable food stores and supermarkets. You can also buy pork sausage at TasteVN supermarkets or purchase online at bachhoaxanh.com.
- Limit buying pork sausage that shows signs of mold, has black spots, or has an unusual sour smell as this sausage has been stored for a long time and is no longer fresh.
How to choose fresh and clean chicken eggs
- Fresh chicken eggs are those with a dark, even-colored shell, without cracks or unusual black spots.
- You should choose chicken eggs with a slightly rough shell, when touched they have tiny specks, a bit uneven, and when shaken lightly, no sound should be heard from inside.
- Avoid buying chicken eggs that are pale in color, have a smooth shell, and make a loud noise when shaken as these eggs have been stored for a long time and are no longer fresh and clean.
