How to Choose Fresh Ingredients
How to choose fresh shrimp
- Choose shrimp that are intact, with a straight or slightly curved shape. The head and legs must be firmly attached to the body.
- Fresh shrimp typically have a shiny and smooth shell, the middle of the shrimp body should be clear and slightly smell of the sea, not fishy.
- Avoid choosing shrimp with loose legs, darkened color, and an unpleasant fishy smell.
How to choose fresh and delicious long beans
- You should choose long beans that have small and long stems because this type will be sweeter and crunchier after processing compared to short and thick long beans.
- Good long beans will have bright green skin, the stems will have a certain crunchiness, easily breakable, and feel quite firm when pressed with your hand.
- You should avoid buying long beans that feel soft and spongy when pressed, as these are old beans that will not have a sweet taste and are not delicious.
- In addition, you should also avoid buying long beans that are too large or overly green, as these are at high risk of having been sprayed with too many chemicals.
