How to Choose Fresh Ingredients
How to Choose Fresh Wormwood Leaves
- When buying, you should choose young wormwood leaves that are light green on the top and dark green on the bottom, with the leaves adhering to the stem all the way to the root to prevent bitterness and discomfort when eating.
- Do not choose wormwood leaves that are too dark green or overly lush because they are likely to have been sprayed with growth chemicals, which are not good for consumption.
- Additionally, you should buy wormwood that is not wilted, yellowing, or lacking vitality.
How to Choose Fresh Duck Eggs
- Fresh duck eggs usually have a bit of residue on the shell and feel heavy when held.
- You can also test by shining a light through them. If there is not much air space at the tip of the egg and the interior is full, then it is a good egg.
- Do not choose eggs that are too light, have mold on the shell, or make noise when shaken because those are spoiled eggs.
