  • First, to choose a delicious green pumpkin, you should select the ones that are still young, with a fresh green skin, a large, thick stem, and a plump fruit.
  • When holding the green pumpkin, it should feel heavy, firm, not soft or wrinkled. Green pumpkins are in season from May to September each year, so you should buy them during these months for better taste and less exposure to plant growth chemicals.
  • Avoid selecting green pumpkins that have black spots or are too old, as they will taste sour and no longer be delicious.

  • Prepare the ingredients
