How to make Tomato Tofu Porridge

  • Prepare the ingredients

Wash the tomatoes thoroughly, remove the stem, and use a knife to cut the tomatoes into wedges. Then, remove the seeds from each wedge and chop the tomato flesh into small, bite-sized pieces.

Next, place the chopped tomato flesh along with 50ml of water into a blender, and blend at high speed for about 3 seconds until the tomatoes are pureed and create a light red liquid mixture.

For the soft tofu, use scissors to cut off the protruding part of the tofu block, then squeeze firmly so that the soft tofu inside can be pushed out until half of the tofu block is out, then stop.

Tip: If you buy soft tofu sold in a square box, use a knife to finely chop it!

How to Choose Fresh and Delicious Pork

    • You should choose pieces of pork that are dry with a natural pink-red color, with the meat fibers arranged evenly and a good elasticity when touched.
    • You should choose meat that has a dry surface, with a natural meat smell; selecting meat that has both lean and fat will taste better.
    • You should not buy pieces of pork that are dark red, have purple bruises, or feel soft when touched, as this may indicate sick pigs or meat that has been slaughtered for a long time.
    • Absolutely do not buy meat with an unusual smell, or with lumps on each meat fiber, as this often indicates pigs infected with parasites.

How to Choose Fresh and Delicious Tomatoes

    • You should choose tomatoes that have bright red skin, an even color, no scratches, and are plump.
    • Additionally, to make the porridge delicious, you should select naturally ripened tomatoes with a mild fragrance, which can be easily noticed when smelling, and the green stem still firmly attached to the fruit, not wilted or fallen off.
    • Avoid buying tomatoes that are abnormally large, without green stems, and with shiny, even skin. These could likely be tomatoes that have been treated with chemicals.
