  • Additionally, it is best to buy branches with thick flesh and thin skin to ensure better taste during preparation, minimizing loss of flesh and maximizing nutritional value.
  • Furthermore, avoid choosing aloe vera that has a slightly wrinkled surface, and particularly those with a cut surface that is wilted or leaking unusual yellow mucus, as this indicates that the aloe vera has been stored for too long and is no longer usable.

How to prepare Black Bean Aloe Vera Dessert

  • Soak and cook black beans

    First, prepare a bowl for 300g of black beans along with 500ml of water, and soak for 4 – 5 hours to allow the beans to expand.

    Next, rinse the black beans with clean water 1 – 2 times, removing any spoiled beans and remaining dirt, then let them drain.

    Then, place a pot on the stove and add the soaked 300g of black beans along with 700ml of water, cooking the beans over medium-low heat for 30 – 40 minutes.

  • Preparing aloe vera

    After buying aloe vera, use a peeling knife to scrape off the outer skin, then rinse with clean water 4 – 5 times until the sliminess is gone, and let it drain. Finally, use a knife to cut the aloe vera into bite-sized pieces.
