    Remove the stem from the gourd, peel it clean, wash it with water until clean, drain, and then use a knife to cut the gourd into small pieces according to your preference.

    Chop off the roots and wilted leaves from the cilantro, then wash them clean and let them drain.

    Peel the shallots, rinse briefly with water, and then chop finely.
