  • Prepare the mung beans

    Remove any damaged or wormy mung beans. Then, rinse them briefly with water to clean off the dust and let them drain.

  • Roast the beans

    Put a pan on the stove, adjust the heat to high, wait for the pan to heat up, add all the beans and stir evenly to prevent the beans from burning and to cook evenly.

    Once the beans gradually turn brownish-yellow, reduce the heat. Roast for another 2 minutes and then turn off the heat.

    • If you want the roasted mung bean water to be richer and more fragrant, you can roast the beans a little longer.
    • However, do not roast the beans too brown as the water will have a bitter taste when consumed.

  • Cook mung bean water

    Boil about 200ml of water.

    Put the mung beans into a cup, pour all the boiling water in and wait for 15 minutes.

    After 15 minutes, strain out the mung beans, pour the mung bean water into a bottle, and use it as drinking water throughout the day.
