How to prepare Sticky Rice with Black Glutinous Rice

Preparation of ingredients
Mix regular glutinous rice and black glutinous rice evenly, wash thoroughly. Then soak the rice for 3-4 hours in warm water.
Wash the mung beans, soak in water for 3-4 hours like the glutinous rice.
Grated coconut soaked in hot water for 15 minutes.

Cooking sticky rice
After soaking, put the rice into the rice cooker, pour water just enough to cover the rice, and use chopsticks to stir the rice evenly. Close the lid and press the Cook button to cook the sticky rice. When the rice cooker switches to Warm mode, open the lid, pour in 10 ml of boiling water, and stir well.
Close the lid and press the Cook button again. This time, when the rice cooker switches to Warm mode, the sticky rice is done.

Making mung beans
Steam the mung beans until cooked.
Then take the beans out, add 1 teaspoon of sugar and a pinch of salt, and mix well. Use a fork to mash the beans.
The mashed mung beans are served as a side dish to enhance the flavor of the black glutinous sticky rice.

Making coconut milk
Grated coconut is mixed with 100 ml of hot water, then squeezed to extract the coconut milk.
The coconut milk is placed on the stove, adding 10 grams of tapioca flour, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and a pinch of salt, stirring well. Boil for about 10 minutes then turn off the heat.

Notes when cooking black sticky rice with a rice cooker
Cooking black sticky rice together with regular sticky rice helps make the dish softer and stickier.
When the rice switches to Warm mode for the first time, add a little hot water to make it softer.
When cooking rice with a rice cooker, remember to monitor the water level to just cover the surface of the rice; adding too much water will make the rice mushy and unappetizing.
