Beef 100 gr Cabbage 200 gr (about 1/4 of a cabbage) Peanuts 50 gr Vietnamese coriander 5 sprigs Shallots 2 bulbs Garlic 2 cloves Chili 2 fruits Cooking oil 1 tablespoon Oyster sauce 1 tablespoon Soy sauce 1/2 tablespoon Common seasoning a little (Sugar/ salt/ seasoning powder/ monosodium glutamate/ ground pepper)

  • Fresh, delicious cabbage will have a shiny color and a round shape. You should avoid buying cabbages that are flat or oval-shaped as these are spongy and not firm.
  • You should choose cabbages that are a slightly dark green; if the cabbage is purple, it should be a deep purple color, and choose cabbages that feel heavy and firm.
  • Avoid selecting cabbages that have blackish-brown spots on their bodies or are bruised, as these cabbages have been stored for too long and are no longer crisp and fresh.

  • Prepare the ingredients

    Wash the cabbage, slice it thinly, then blanch the cabbage in boiling water for about 2 minutes, then transfer it to an bowl of ice water and soak for 5 minutes, then remove and drain well.

    Marinate the cabbage with 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of seasoning, 1/2 teaspoon of monosodium glutamate, mix well to marinate for 15 minutes for even absorption.

    Wash the Vietnamese coriander, chop it finely. Peel and mince the shallots and garlic. Remove the stem from the chili, wash it, and slice it thinly.

    Roast the peanuts until golden, then crush them slightly or leave them whole according to your preference.
