What are chia seeds?
Chia seeds are the seeds of the Salvia Hispanica plant (chia plant), measuring about 1mm in size, and come in black, white, brown speckled, gray colors, and are odorless. Chia seeds are commonly used in food. They are rich in beneficial nutrients such as calcium, fiber, phosphorus, etc.
When soaked in water, chia seeds produce a gelatinous layer that forms a special gel-like texture.
