How to make Pickled Garlic

  • Prepare the garlic

    After buying 500gr of garlic, you peel off the skin and leave the cloves whole, then place them in a large bowl.

    Fill the bowl with water to submerge the garlic for 5 minutes, then wash off the remaining skin, rinse again, and remove.

  • Pickled Garlic

    Prepare the pickling liquid consisting of 2 cups of sour vinegar (rice bowl) into a bowl along with 1 spoon of sugar, stir until dissolved.

    Then pour all the prepared garlic into the vinegar liquid, using a spoon to press the garlic down so that it is fully submerged in the vinegar.

    Find a clean and dry plastic jar or glass jar, scoop the garlic and the pickling liquid into it.

    Let the pickled garlic sit outside for about 24 hours, which will help the garlic to sour. After that, store it in the refrigerator refrigerator and use it gradually.

  • When buying garlic, you should choose mature garlic, so that when pickling, the garlic will not turn green. To distinguish between mature and young garlic, you just need to split the garlic open; if the inside is slightly green, it is young garlic.
  • Store pickled garlic in a cool place or in the refrigerator. The shelf life of pickled garlic is very long, so you can rest assured about the usage time!
