All-purpose flour 180 g (For the crust) Dry yeast 2 g (For the crust) Salt 2 g (For the crust) Sugar 15 g (For the crust) Olive oil 15 ml (For the crust) Warm water 100 ml (For the crust) Sweet corn kernels 1 ear (For the filling) Sliced onion 1 bulb (For the filling) Soy sauce 1 teaspoon (For the filling) Sugar 1 tablespoon (For the filling) Ketchup 1 tablespoon (For the filling) Mozzarella cheese 50 g (For the filling)

How to make Cheese Corn Pizza

  • Mix the dough

    Add 180g of flour, 2g of dry yeast, 2g of salt, 15g of sugar, 15ml of olive oil, and 100ml of warm water into a bowl. Mix well until the mixture is combined.

    Note: Do not add salt directly to the yeast, as this will kill the yeast or weaken its activity. You can mix the salt with the flour first, and then add the yeast.

  • Knead the dough

    Once the ingredients are thoroughly mixed, you start to knead the dough using the Folding and Stretching technique.

    First, fold the dough over, then use the palm of your hand to press and stretch the dough away. Note to press and stretch the dough away rather than pressing down. Next, rotate the dough 90 degrees and repeat the two steps for 15 – 20 minutes.

    After 15 – 20 minutes of kneading, the dough will form a homogeneous, smooth, elastic mass that does not feel sticky to the hands.

    Tip:
    • The pizza dough initially is quite wet and sticky, especially in the first 5 minutes. However, you don’t need to worry as during the kneading process, the dough will absorb the water, gluten will develop, and the dough will gradually become elastic and “drier”.
    • You can add more dry flour to make kneading easier. However, do not add too much as it may cause the dough to dry out after kneading.

  • Dough proofing

    Coat with a layer of dry flour, then place the dough into a bowl covered tightly, and let it proof for 1 hour until the dough doubles in size.

    Tip: You can check if the dough has proofed properly by pressing your finger deep into the dough. If the indentation remains, it is ready.

  • Sautéing the corn mixture

    Cut the onion into thin strips, then sauté briefly in a pan.

    Next, add the corn kernels and sauté for about 5 minutes, seasoning with 1 teaspoon of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and ½ teaspoon of pepper before turning off the heat.

  • Shaping the pizza

    Place the dough on the table, using your hands to flatten it into a round shape with a thicker edge than the center. Then, add ketchup and use a fork to poke holes in the surface of the dough.

    Next, add the corn filling, 1 egg (if desired), and 50g of mozzarella cheese.

  • Baking the cake

    Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes, then place the cake in to bake for 15 – 20 minutes.

    The corn cheese pizza has a stretchy, rich cheese layer, a crispy yet soft crust, and a sweet and sour filling from the vegetables.

    Buy sweet corn, remove the kernels, then boil it in hot water for about 3 – 5 minutes until the corn is cooked, then drain.

  • Fried corn pizza

    You place the pan on the stove, add a little oil, then wait for the oil to heat up before spreading the mixture of corn and flour evenly across the surface of the pan. In addition to frying in the pan, you can also bake the pizza using an oven or an air fryer.

How to preserve pizza crust
