How to make Cheesy Baked Potatoes

  • Prepare the ingredients

    After buying, wash the potatoes thoroughly. Use a knife to make vertical cuts along the potato until it runs out, being careful not to cut the potato completely.

    After cutting, soak the sliced potatoes in salted water for about 10 minutes to prevent them from turning brown.

    Tip:

    • To make the baked potatoes crispy and more flavorful, you do not need to peel the outer skin of the potatoes.
    • Additionally, to cut the potatoes without them falling apart, place the potato between 2 chopsticks.

    Cut the cheese into 6 small pieces that are about the same size as the potato slices. Peel the garlic, wash it clean, and mince it. Chop the rosemary finely.

    Next, you should chop the smoked meat into small pieces!

    Put the butter in the microwave and defrost it for about 20 to 25 seconds until it completely melts.

    After the butter has completely melted. Take the butter out, add 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of ground pepper to the butter bowl, then stir well to enhance the flavor of the dish!

    Next, spread the butter on each slice of potato, making sure to cover the potato evenly!

    Then, place the potatoes in the oven and bake at 200 degrees Celsius for 1 hour until the potato skin is crispy and the inside is soft.

    While waiting for the potatoes to cook, place a pan on the stove, add oil, and fry the bacon until golden and crispy. Place the fried bacon on paper towels to absorb excess grease.

How to Prepare Simple Baked Potatoes

    Soak the potatoes in diluted salt water for 15 minutes, then rinse them clean with water, while using a brush to scrub off any dirt on the potato skins.

    Cut the potatoes into thin slices without cutting all the way through, leaving about 1cm at the bottom.

    Tip: To avoid cutting all the way through, you can use chopsticks to press down on both sides while cutting the potatoes.

    You place a pan on the stove over medium heat, wait for the pan to heat up, then add butter, olive oil, crushed garlic, and 3 sprigs of thyme. Cook for about 3 – 4 minutes until the butter melts and the garlic turns golden, then turn off the heat and strain through a sieve.

    You evenly spread the butter sauce around the potatoes, sprinkle a little salt and pepper on top.

    You preheat the oven for 10 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius to stabilize the oven temperature.

    First bake: You place the potatoes in the oven and bake for 30 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius.

    Then, you take the tray out of the oven, sprinkle 1 crushed sprig of thyme (or any other herb of your choice). Spread a layer of butter sauce evenly on the potatoes.

    Second bake: You put the potatoes back in the oven and bake for another 30 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius, until the edges of the potatoes are crispy.
