Prepare the shrimp
Buy shrimp, peel them clean, cut off the head part and leave the tail.
Then, make a small incision on the body of the shrimp to remove the black vein.
Quick way to remove the shrimp’s back vein:
- First, turn the shrimp upside down, hold the body of the shrimp with one hand and peel back the shell on both sides of the shrimp head with the other hand.
- Next, firmly hold the connection between the head and the body of the shrimp, then slowly separate the head from the body. This way, the vein attached to the shrimp’s head will also be pulled out.
Wash the peeled shrimp and let them drain, then marinate with a little pepper for about 5 minutes.

Prepare the potatoes
Prepare a bowl and fill it with water up to half the bowl, then add 1 teaspoon of salt and stir well.
Peel the potatoes and soak them in the saltwater mixture.
In the meantime, slice the potatoes into thin pieces about 1/4 of a finger’s thickness. Next, cut the potatoes into thin, small strips in a circular motion from the outside in.
