All-purpose flour No. 13 150 gr Unsalted butter 30 gr Powdered sugar 15 gr Yeast 3 gr Purified water 1 gr Salt 1 gr Purified water 75 ml Egg yolk 1 piece

How to make Mummy Sausages

  • Knead the dough

    First, you add 150gr of all-purpose flour No. 10 along with 30gr of unsalted butter, 15gr of powdered sugar, and 3gr of yeast into a bowl and mix well. Next, add 1gr of salt, 75ml of purified water, and knead the dough until it’s no longer sticky and let it rise for another 40 minutes!

  • Roll and cut the dough to prepare for making marinated sausage

    The dough has been allowed to rise for enough time, you take it out onto the cutting board and use a rolling pin to roll it thin, then use a knife to cut it into small strips about 0.5 – 1cm.

    In this step, you simply take the dough strips you’ve just cut and wrap them around the sausage, and you’re done, it’s super simple, right?

    However, you should leave a small gap near the end of the sausage to shape the face for your marinated sausage!

    You place each sausage on a baking tray and put it in the oven at 140 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes.

    To make the dough have a more beautiful golden color, you should brush a thin layer of egg yolk on the dough!

  • The final product

    The freshly baked pastry has a distinctive smell of flour, the outer layer is crispy, and the sausage inside is chewy and bouncy. Dipping it with a little ketchup and chili sauce is just perfect.
