How to make Coconut Worm Cake

Mix the cake batter
First, you add 200g of tapioca flour, 50g of wheat flour, and 60g of sugar into a large bowl and mix well with a whisk. To enhance the aroma and rich flavor of the cake, add all 20g of coconut powder to the mixture.
Next, add 50ml of condensed milk, 50ml of coconut milk, and 50g of unsalted butter together and mix well with your hands.
Mix the batter evenly for about 7 – 10 minutes until the cake batter is smooth and no longer sticks to your hands.
Tip: If you store unsalted butter in the refrigerator, remember to take it out before making the cake so that the butter can soften at room temperature, which will make the cake easier to prepare. -
Create color
After mixing, you divide the cake flour into 4 equal parts and put them into separate bowls (rice bowls). Next, you use a toothpick to take color and apply it to the cake, you take about 2ml of color (1/2 toothpick) for each type is enough.
Now we have 4 pieces of dough with different colors (white, green, pink, purple), you continue to knead the dough by hand for about 3 minutes to ensure the dough is evenly colored!

Shape the cake
In this step, you prepare a baking tray and line it with a piece of parchment paper. Next, you break the dough into small pieces of about 5 grams.
Then, you gently roll the piece of dough to form the shape of a coconut worm with one end larger and the other end smaller.
Next, you skillfully use a toothpick and gently press on both sides of the coconut worm’s body to create segments for the worm.
Finally, you place 2 sesame seeds on the larger end to create eyes for the worm and place it on the rack. You do the same for the remaining pieces of dough.

Baking the Cake
You preheat the oven for about 10 minutes at 120 degrees Celsius, with the top and bottom heat.
Then, you put the tray of dough in and bake at 120 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes; when the cake is done, take it out to cool, and we have successfully made the coconut worm cake!
