How to choose fresh and delicious salmon

  • You should choose fresh salmon meat that has a bright pink or orange color. Do not choose fish with dark or pale meat.
  • You can press your finger into the fish meat to check its elasticity; if it leaves a dent and then quickly returns to its original state, the fish is still fresh and should be selected. The fat stripes on the fish are evenly colored and not discolored.
  • You should not choose salmon that shows signs of being wet or leaking liquid, has brown spots, or has an unusual foul smell.
