- Choose quail eggs with beautiful, sturdy shells, clear patterns, no gray color, rough shapes, or blemishes on the shell.
- Fresh quail eggs will have a thin layer of powder on the shell, and the eggs will be of uniform size.
- You should buy quail eggs that feel firm when held, and when shaken, you should not hear any sound like liquid sloshing.
- Do not buy eggs with cracked, soft shells, or leaking because they are spoiled quail eggs.

Boil the quail eggs
After buying quail eggs, wash them briefly to remove dirt.
Place a pot of water on the stove, add the quail eggs, and boil until cooked for about 4 – 6 minutes.
Once the quail eggs are boiled, remove them and let them cool before peeling.
Quick Way to Peel Quail Eggs- After the eggs are cooked, take them out and place them in a bowl of cold ice water; the ice water will cool the eggs quickly and make them easier to peel.
- To make peeling easier, once the eggs are cool, put them in a plastic container with a little water, then close the lid and shake well.
- Shaking the eggs in the container will break the shells quickly and make them easier to peel.
-
Fry the quail eggs
Heat a pan on the stove, add 100ml of cooking oil and heat it up, then add the quail eggs and fry them in oil over medium heat until the eggs are evenly golden on the outside, then remove and let them drain.
-
Making quail eggs stewed in satay
Leave about 1 tablespoon of oil for frying the eggs in the pan, add chopped shallots and garlic to sauté until fragrant.
When the shallots and garlic release their aroma, add 1/2 tablespoon of chopped chili and stir for about 1 minute.
Next, pour about 1/2 cup of water (about 3 – 4 tablespoons) into the pan and bring to a boil.
Then add 2 tablespoons of shrimp satay, 1/4 tablespoon of seasoning powder, 2 teaspoons of chili satay, 2 tablespoons of chili sauce, 1/2 teaspoon of shrimp salt, 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter, and stir well to dissolve all the seasonings.
Next, add the fried quail eggs to the pan, reduce the heat, and stew for about 3 – 5 minutes for the quail eggs to absorb the seasonings evenly.
